  1. Amanda Moore

Authors are the recognised leaders in this field and the clarity of the difference between the strategic role of the road map compared to project and release plans sets the tone for this book. Audible is great and I have the book on Kindle and print. If you need to lead your team to build road maps read this! Excellent.

This book is helping me develop the next stage of my career. It provides usefulness and information on what a roadmap is (and what it isn’t/shouldn’t be), why you should be making one, and how to do so.I’m a new product manager, but I’d put this high on my list of recommendations. It inspired me from the very first pages.

The authors move us through the very messy path of establishing a roadmap on our chaotic startup world. And it’s great to believe again that there is a world beyond sprint-to-sprint planning. Many ideas seem obvious in hindsight (such as co-creation or shutter diplomacy to get a buy in), but make such a huge difference in the outcome that cannot be overstated.Get it if you’re trying to become a great product person.

I really enjoyed reading this book. I found it both inspiring and practical. I have adopted many of the practices into my current roadmap process which has re-invigorated it. Thank you!

If you are making a product roadmap, buy this book! It is a thorough guide on how to make a great product roadmap… in just 200 pages (quite easy to read also).A key concept in the book is that Product Roadmaps should not have features written in them. The Product Roadmap defines what problems/goals/objectives will be addressed by the product team, but not what specific features will be needed for achieving those.I can strongly recommend the book!
