I am a Design Thinking practitioner and found both the playbook and toolbox invaluable. Practical examples are provided with templates and approaches that work. I particularly like the sizing option, so that you choose solutions to accommodate the size/duration of your event.

I am really pleased with the series of Design Thinking books by these authors. I have just started to get into them and finding so many useful tips and techniques that are easy to read and apply. High powered technical language is left out so it is accessible to lay people like me who are simply looking at innovative techniques to apply to their personal and professional lives. Whether you are looking at improving your personal or professional lifestyle or you are working on developing a product and/or service, I would recommend these books to anyone who is curious and interested in further developing their strengths and honouring their weaknesses. Great for your daily life and for your reference shelf to get those creative juices flowing.

This book was recommended to me by colleagues at the HPI in Potsdam (Germany) and I am thrilled. As a Design Thinking enthusiast, I live the Design Thinking mindset in all interactions with clients. In the preface of the book, Uli Weinberg from HPI explains: “The experience at the HPI teaches us that the selection of the right tools across the entire thinking cycle makes a vital contribution to success.” This toolbox provides access to 50 of the most important tools in Design Thinking. It helps me as a facilitator to set up a strong agenda for the workshops and to enable my teams to work together rapidly and ad hoc. The templates in the book come from Design Thinking users and contain the most important elements per step and phase. Hundreds of experts have contributed to the book and it is also a pleasure to see how broad and diverse Design Thinking is lived globally.

Design Thinking as a mindset is more important for innovators than ever before. Customer needs are changing, and products/services are accessed through different digital channels. Whoever wants to generate growth in difficult times must be close to the customer with new offerings. The new Design Thinking Toolbox by Lewrick, Link, Leifer gives hands-on instructions on how to apply Design Thinking methods and tools on over 300 pages. The book is colorful and full of valuable content. You can see that the Bestseller-Trio has once again set the standard very high for an excellent reference book on innovation methods with a lot of attention to detail. Anyone who wants to apply Design Thinking will not be able to avoid this book.

Love this book! Fun to look at and full of interesting techniques to try.If I had to critique… I would say fleshing out the workshops step by step would work. Some feel a little TOO bullet pointed
